This is the yarn I got for my birthday. Fantastic isn’t it, all those different colors?
It’s a mix of Wool Cotton (which I’ve never used before) and Pure Wool DK. I want to knit Kintyre from Rowan magazine 52.
The pattern also uses Kidsilk Haze held double, but I don’t like working with that type of yarn. So I’ve subbed with similar colors of Wool Cotton.
I can’t wait to start, but I’ve promised myself to finish something first. And because Halla, Alouette and Kintyre all use the same needle size, it’s easy to keep my promise.
This will be my first project that’s fair isle allover. I think it will be fun.
This is the Kintyre sweater (www.knitrowan.com) :
Mine will probably be a little bit brighter. I love the skirt and tights too.
