FO: Ambleside

Pattern: Ambleside by Marie Wallin from the Rowan Purelife Winter Collection.

Yarn: Rowan British Sheep Breeds Chunky, colour Black Welsh

I picked up my Ambleside today to finish the sewing and it was done in an hour. It’s the warmest garment I’ve ever made. I didn’t take it off today, it’s perfect for this kind of weather. It took me a long time to finish this, but if you want you can finish this in a few weeks.

I love how long it is. It’s nice with tight jeans. I haven’t blocked it yet, because I like the three dimensional cables.

I’ve picked up sewing again because I can’t knit at the moment. I am really enjoying it. I am trying to finish a skirt I started last winter and it is almost done now. It’s a nice soft fabric, it feels like there is a bit of wool in it. A good skirt for autumn. I only need to do the hemline. I am having a hard time making it straight, I mean making the skirt the same length everywhere. I am wondering how other people do that. I am wondering if a dress form is the secret.
