FO:Ginny

Pattern: Ginny from Amber by Kim Hargreaves
Yarn: Rowan Felted Tweed, color Pine

Mods: I’ve added a bit of length, because a lot of people commented that it was short. I’ve added four rows of moss stich to the peplum and 6 rows after the first decrease above the waist. I’ve also knitted the XS length and width of the sleeves.

I think I will wear this often. It’s really soft now it’s blocked and it’s very warm.

It was a nice knit. The sleeves were a bit boring, but the body was a really quick knit. The different patterns keep it interesting.

The pattern was sometimes a bit confusing, but I’ve already complained a lot about that. Normally Kim’s patterns are perfect, but this one wasn’t. But a great result anyway.

I’ve already bought more of this yarn, it’s going to be a favorite. I’m thinking about knitting Salina. I had planned to knit Raine with it, but I am longing for pullovers. I don’t really like the button bands of my knitted cardigans, the buttons are always loose. I read about sewing ribbon behind them and making buttonholes in the ribbon. Maybe that would be a solution.

I think the extra length on the bottom looks perfect on you. I’ve never knit a Kim Hargreaves pattern but she certainly has some fabulous designs.
