I’ve knitted too much, my left hand hurts. Now I can’t knit. I’ve let my hand rest a few days, and now I am only knitting a few rows a day. But I started with the sewing, that doesn’t hurt my hands. I sewed the body of Emily, and the edging around the collar. It fits a lot better now, which is great. It is really an elegant sweater. The colour isn’t very flattering for me, but hey, I love the colour. I don’t want to wear the same colours every day just because they suit me best. And it will probably look better with a black tee under it.
I sewed the body of Woolsthorpe today. And that one fits too, although it is a very different fit than Emily. I like it very much. It is a bit shorter than I thought it would be, but not too short. Maybe I will sew the sides of the sleeves tomorrow. I can sew on the buttons too, if I feel like it. So I’m still making progress.
I have started a new project, Willow from Kim Hargreaves, again from the book Breeze. But I have to restrain myself, my hand is not okay. I am knitting the edging and it looks so lovely. You have to make picots, I thought that would be difficult, but it isn’t at all. It looks so great together with the little holes from the yarnovers, I wish I could make a picture. I am using the Cashmerino from Debbie Bliss, and it is so soft. I probably won’t have enough yarn, but I will order another ball. I like this vest better than the Sexy Vesty, although that’s really cute too.
