I’ve tried to pick up sewing again a few times before, like last year when I sewed a skirt (I never wore it). I really needed a nice simple quick project to get started. Something I could be proud of.
I found the free pattern Sorbetto from Colette patterns and this really fit the bill. I took my time in sewing this, paying attention to all the details, and it was still finished in a weekend. I really love the finishing with bias tape. It was very easy to do and looks really nice.
I sewed a few buttons on from my button stash and now I have a nice little summer top:
I bought the patterns for two blouses, also from Colette patterns: Violet and Jasmine. I am now working on the Violet blouse. I am working slowly on it, I really want to learn how to do everything properly. The patterns explain every step, they are perfect for beginners.
I bought a few cute vintage patterns too, I hope I will soon be able to sew them.
